x best friends with leo since basically birth - he pretty much grew up in her house
x her parents were both brokers, which molly was unaware of until her father was killed in an "accident" (her mother called it a job hazard, when explaining what happened to a seven year old molly)
x after her dad died, her mom kind of closed off and it fucked molly up a lot to lose ~both her parents so she went from being the sweet child she was to being kind of a nightmare tiefling who stopped understanding how to have connections w/ others except for leo
x when she became old enough to, she started charming her way into the parties thrown by the cabaretti, in some misguided act of rebellion against the brokers and her mother, determined to become the antithesis of a person who would follow in her parents’ footsteps of the “family business”

x keeps promising to leo that she'll try to actually "be nice" when he tries to get her to see that she needs to let people in but that generally falls apart pretty quickly but she did make a promise that she'd try really hard once they got to school so... we'll see how that goes 😎
